This is the most difficult part, the Main Riff :
the notes on the 2 lower strings (the strings re-tuned to D and G) should
be picked (yes PICKED, holding a pick between thumb and index finger, or
using a thumbpick) leaving one of your other fingers to pluck the melody
on the 4th string. Let those notes on the fourth string ring while
maintaining that percussive bass-line by hammering the 7th and 8th fret
of the G String and accentuating those open D and G stings.

I’m not sure about this but the hammered 7th and 8th fret notes could be hit
from a few frets below like this :

or maybe mixed with 0h7 and 0h8
It doesn’t make the playing easier but Shannon Wright probably uses some kind
of loop machine to layer on the guitars after achieving the bass-line,
I’m not sure.
