Joe Hill by Joan Baez Guitar Chords

Hi folks,

I was very happy that Joan went to NYC to support OWS and in fact really
happy that someone filmed her with a perfect angle so we can we at last
the chords she plays. Especially, the Esus4 chord that makes it sound so
particular. You will notice that her capo is on 4th, but she is, as usual,
half a tone down, so put yours on 3rd. See the video at:
time you read this). The fingerpicking pattern as she played at woodstock
is easy and I tabbed it here for you. She sometimes plays the E part,
as I named it, in a simplier way, but I thought I’d show you how it goes.
for comments or just to say hi!

Cheers to all Joan fans!

Intro : E Esus4 E Esus4

I dreamed I saw Joe Hill last night, alive as you and me
Says “Hi! But Joe, you’re ten years dead!”
“I never died”, said he, ”I never died”, said he.

“The copper bosses killed you Joe, they shot you Joe”, says I
“Takes more than guns to kill a man.”
Says Joe, “I didn’t die.”. says Joe, “I didn’t die.”

And standing there as big as life, and smiling with his eyes
says Joe, “What they can never kill,
Went on to organize, went on to organize.”

Where working man defend their rights
It's there you’ll find Joe Hill, it’s there you’ll find Joe Hill

I dreamed I saw Joe Hill last night, alive as you and me
Says “Hi! But Joe, you’re ten years dead!”
“I never died”, said he. ”I never died”, said he.
