OK, so this is my first whole song tabbed by ear. It is a really fun song to play,
and its co-written by a person that is in my favorite band. Charles Kelley from
Lady Antebellum! Anyway, the Chorus is really weird, and It fits, but i’m going to
try to make it more accurate later on, so hold on for an update! And another note,
this song requires you to tune your guitar down a half a step.

I’ll post a video tutorial for this, to show where everything lines up and
hopefully get rid or all Confusion.

In the Intro, you can play the chords themselves, or you can just pick the strings.

Intro/Verse: Repeat throughout intro and verse, with only some obvious variations.

e|—————————————3————————————|
B|—————————————3————————————|
G|—————————————0————————————|
D|—-0h2—0—————————-0————————————|
A|—————–3——2————–2————————————|
E|———————————-3—-3————————————|

Ain’t it funny how some things take you back
And the here and now just fades to black
When I pulled that blue tarp off that time machine
Man, it hits me
Seventeen years old runnin’ on dumb luck
Spent the whole darn summer livin’ in that truck
Them old tires still covered in all that mud
Like it sticks with me in my blood

Chorus:
When life was nothing more than living for the night
Just try’na steal a kiss on the tailgate of that ride
G Cadd9 n.c.
Good ole days don’t wash away, just like that Georgia clay

Verse: Repeat Same Chords Above.
n.c. G
Only one of my friends with a fake ID
Cadd9 G (continue same pattern)
It made me the hometown celebrity

Used to put her in park in a vacant lot
Yeah still cant believe we never got caught

Chorus: (same as above)

When life was nothing more than living for the night

Just try’na steal a kiss on the tailgate of that ride

Good ole days don’t wash away, just like that Georgia clay

Bridge:
All over everything

Every last memory
Man it’s all comin’ back to me

Ain’t it funny how some things take you back
When life was nothing more than living for the night
Just try’na steal a kiss on the tailgate of that night
Good ole days don’t wash away, that’s some things they just don’t change
n.c.
Just like that Georgia clay
All over everything
Every last memory
It’s all comin’ back to me

Enjoy!!
